観光庁の予報データによると、2025年の訪日外国人消費額は約9.5兆円。2024年に比べて+13,292億円（前年比16.4％）も伸びた。が、内閣府のGDP統計の家計最終消費支出の中には、輸出に含まれる訪日外国人消費が含まれていない。全消費額（帰属家賃を除いた家計最終消費+訪日外国人消費）の増加に占める訪日外国人消費は、2025年度の全消費額が+11.6兆円の増加に対し、訪日外国人消費は+8,722億円で、全体の7.0％（寄与度）にあたる。一方、実質値（消費数量、客数のイメージ）では+3.6兆円のうち+5,517億円、全体の15.3％となる。
According to forecast data from the Japan Tourism Agency, spending by foreign tourists in Japan is projected to reach approximately 9.5 trillion JPY in 2025. This represents an increase of 1.3292 trillion JPY (16.4% year-on-year) compared to 2024. But, the Cabinet Office's GDP statistics on household final consumption expenditure do not include spending by foreign tourists; it is instead counted as exports. Looking at the increase in total consumption (household final consumption excluding imputed rent + spending by foreign tourists), spending by foreign tourists accounts for 872.2 billion JPY of the projected increase of 11.6 trillion JPY in 2025, representing 7.0% of the total. In real terms (comparing spending amount with the number of tourists), spending by foreign tourists accounts for 551.7 billion JPY of the total increase of 3.6 trillion JPY, representing 15.3% of the total.
